Brokered sale · For sellers

Sell for what your car is really worth.

A brokered sale from start to finish — seven steps, from the walk-round to the paperwork. You only decide on the price.

Why a broker?

You'd hire an agent to sell your home. Your car is usually your second-largest asset — why sell it any differently?

Definition

What is car brokerage?

In a brokered sale the broker does not sell the car in their own name. Our job is to bring you and the buyer together: we do a visual walk-round, photograph and film it, write and run the advert, qualify the enquiries, arrange the viewing and handle the paperwork. The sale contract is concluded between you and the buyer.

In practice that means the car stays in your possession until it sells, the buyer’s money lands directly in your account, and the fee falls due only once the car is sold. Consignment works differently — there the intermediary sells in their own name, on your account.

Why brokerage

You hand over nothing.

  • Keep driving

The car stays in your possession until it sells. No sitting on someone else’s lot — use it as normal.

  • The money comes to you

The buyer’s money lands in your account. It never routes through ours.

  • The car stays unencumbered

We don’t take it onto our own account or hold it as security. No claim of ours attaches to it.

  • You pay for the result

The brokerage fee falls due once the car is sold.

  • You set the price

We agree the asking price together and every offer reaches you. Nothing is decided without you.

  • The enquiries come to us

We handle the listing, the photos, the video and the calls from interested buyers. Once a caller qualifies, we arrange the viewing between the two of you.

The process

Seven steps, fully handled.

  1. 01

    Visual walk-round

We walk the car with you. We write down what we see — this is not a technical inspection or a warranty of condition, it is the basis for an honest listing.

  2. 02

    Photos and video

Professional photos and video: the gallery for the advert and a short clip for social media. The car stays in your possession throughout.

  3. 03

    Writing and running the advert

We write the listing copy and publish it on the leading portals. We run it for the whole sale — refreshing it, bumping it and changing the price only by agreement with you.

  4. 04

    Qualifying the enquiries

We answer the calls and messages and separate a genuine buyer from a tyre-kicker. Only the ones actually buying reach you.

  5. 05

    Arranging the viewing

We agree the time and place of the viewing between the qualified buyer and you. At the meeting it is you and the buyer — we do not attend the test drive ourselves.

  6. 06

    Paperwork and guidance

We draw up the sales contract and handle the change of ownership. We guide you through both an outright sale and a leasing or finance arrangement: what the bank needs, in what order, and who signs what.

  7. 07

Marketing to Germany where it fits

If the car suits the German market, we market it to buyers there too. We agree that with you separately.

Your car goes to brokerage, not consignment — the sale is concluded in your name and the car stays in your possession. What’s the difference? →

Frequently asked

Brokerage, briefly.

What is the difference between brokerage and consignment?

In brokerage the sale contract is concluded between you and the buyer — the broker brings the parties together. In consignment the intermediary sells in their own name, on your account. That determines in whose name the deal is made, when the fee falls due and who is liable to the buyer. We are brokers.

What does car brokerage cost?

The brokerage fee is tied to the sale price and falls due only once the car is sold. If it does not sell, you owe nothing more — the advance paid on signing covers the work done. You get an exact quote together with the valuation.

Do I have to hand the car over while it is for sale?

No. The car stays in your possession until it sells and you can keep using it as normal. We do not take it onto our own account or hold it as security.

Who receives the buyer’s money?

You do, directly. The buyer’s money never routes through our account.

What kind of cars do you take on?

Mainly cars with an active or recently-expired factory warranty. We don’t take on every car — we take the ones we can present honestly.

Do I stay a private seller?

Yes. The sale contract is concluded between you and the buyer, so you sell as a private person. We are the broker, not the seller.
